ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ An Uber spokeswoman says an Anchorage Craigslist ad seeking drivers on behalf of the ride-sharing company was posted by someone not affiliated with Uber.

The Alaska Dispatch News reports (http://bit.ly/1QVQgns ) that the ad was posted Wednesday in the part-time section of the website and signed by someone using the name Mark.

It promises a $100 signing bonus and the option of working day or night shifts.

Uber spokeswoman Kate Downen said Friday that the company is definitely not responsible for the advertisement.

Uber decided not to establish itself in Anchorage earlier this year after months of negotiations with the city over ride-sharing regulations.

Downen says Uber is waiting to see how things develop before deciding whether to return to Anchorage.
