selita_ebanks_web.jpgPORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad — Supermodel Selita Ebanks had a glitering 29th birthday party on Feb. 18 courtesy of the special events company and entertainment brand Antilia.

The company threw the party for Ebanks as part of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival celebration which ended on Feb. 21.

The bash took place at a private venue as part of Project Runway winner Anya Ayoung-Chee's inaugural Carnival fête.

Ebanks, the former Victoria’s Secret model from the Cayman islands, was special guest at the glitzy VIP surprise dinner party that came complete with concierge services, including a personalized hair and make-up session and luxury ground transportation.

Some of Ebanks’ family members and closest friends gathered around a two-foot tall croquembouche birthday cake, a type of traditional French dessert, that was designed by Trinidadian pastry chef Khalil Ali of Pêche Pâtisserie.

Ebanks, whom Forbes ranked in 2008 as one of the highest paid supermodels in the world, visited Trinidad and Tobago over the weekend for her birthday and “to experience the vibrancy of Trinidad and Tobago, exemplified by our annual Carnival,” Antilia CEO Simon Khan said in a statement.

At the same event, Antilia also hosted a birthday celebration for Trinidadian pop star Aaron Fresh, who turned 19 on Carnival Monday.

Fresh, who was discovered by rapper/comedian Nick Cannon, a former Ebanks boyfriend, and who is currently signed to Def Jam Recordings, has enjoyed mainstream success on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with his single Spending All My Time.

A number of American celebrities were also present at the twin-birthday

celebration, including former NBA player and television personality John Salley; NAACP Image-Award winning actor Lance Gross, best known for his role as Calvin Payne in the TBS sitcom Tyler Perry's House of Payne; and television personality Terrence J, host of BET's popular music video countdown show 106 & Park.

Top Trinidadian soca singers Machel Montano, the 2012 Road March champ, and Kees Diffenthaller, both of whom delivered enthralling performances, were among the local VIP guests at the celebration.
