TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Citizens Property Insurance Corp.'s chief financial officer is stepping down.The state-created insurer announced the resignation of CFO Sharon Binnun on Monday.

More than 2.7 million children in America have a parent in prison. Among African-American children, one in nine (11.4 percent), have a parent in jail, with more fathers than mothers incarcerated. For children of incarcerated parents, studies have shown they are seven times more likely to go to prison themselves.

TALLAHASSEE — For the Florida A&M University (FAMU) class of 1962, giving back to their alma mater was more than a thought. Members of the class recently presented a check for $62,250 to the university toward the establishment of scholarships for students.
