County salutes state 4A football champs BTW High PDF Print E-mail

booker_t.jpgMiami-Dade Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson presents a proclamation to Booker T. Washington High School football team head coach Tim “Ice” Harris to commemorate the team’s State Class 4A Championship. The presentation took place during  the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners meeting Feb. 20.

Edmonson was joined by Mayor Carlos Gimenez, Commission Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa and Vice Chairwoman Linda Bell for the occasion.

Also in attendance were Tim Harris Jr., offensive coordinator and head coach; Benedick Hypolite, wide receivers coordinator; and Nitron Stork, defensive backs/special team’s coordinator.

The team, ranked No. 18 nationally by MaxPreps, finished the season with a 12-game winning streak.
