Is you son Terrence Davis from Orlando FL? Are you the one that made a comment in the ESPN article? Just like in your comment, you make a lot of untrue statements. Didn't you write a bounced check for $5,000 and the academy had to notify you. You can get in trouble for writing a bounced check for over $3,000. Didn't your son attend 5 high schools and still did not graduate. Your son only played 1 year of high school football because he was not ever eligible. Doesn't you son have a criminal background that you lied about on the application. This is public information. It was fortunate that NC Tech even let him in. And you said in the ESPN article that you son ran a 4.3 40 and that is why NC Tech wanted him. I was there the day they had the tryout and it rained and they had the tryout in a gym. They did not even run the 40 yard dash so that was an untrue statment made to ESPN. You should be tired of making untrue statements. Your son is not even in Orlando, he was seen in Charlotte. If you dig a ditch for one man, you should dig one for yourself. - Assistant Coach

Sir, you are soooo off with your comments about NC Tech Prep. I am a parent who unfortunately experienced the evils of Coach Tim Newman and Mrs. Newman and his fraudulent mishaps that were made against me and my family and countless other families. This man and his wife is nothing more than snake oil salespeople. They will take advantage of anyone regardless of race. I am soooo black, african- american, hood, ghetto, and what ever else label you would like to use, and these people and their organization needs to be shut down.

They did nothing but lie and made false promises that were not kept. My son should not have been allowed to participate in the program from the beginning due to the fact that his gpa was too low after he graduated from high school. In fact, I'll get right to the point of the story (because I can be here all night with circumstances that occurred to prove they are theives using christianity to promote their misdeeds). They received his transcripts 3 months prior to my wife and I paying the $5k plus housing that we paid for our son to attend this scam. After we paid his tuition and signed the 6 months lease and took him to school to start, we were called by an assistant coach 2 weeks later and made aware that there was nothing that they could do to help our son. We sent emails, phone calls, and left messages for 2 months before we finally talked to Tim Newman (the ringmaster, CEO, President, the HNIC, and etc....). We wanted a refund due to the info that we received from them after we had our credit on the line by signing the lease to the apartments. We were on the hook and this is just one of the type of circumstances that happened with us along with other parents we spoke to.

We are appreciative to the report that was done by Mike Fish and ESPN. I will continue to spread the word about those CROOKED individuals...and no we did not receive one red cent back from them and we had to pay for the entire lease.

It is a shame that this BLACK MAN and his BLACK WIFE is taking advantage of parents who begged, and borrowed moneys to try to help there young BLACK sons have a shot at a higher education. We all know there is a need for this type of institution, but unfortunately, NC Tech is all about one thing and one thing only...making a dollar at any cost. I know at least 10 other families that he damaged in some other manner.
