MIAMI-DADE – Dozens of northwest Miami-Dade children and adults turned out to see the monster-comedy adventure “Hotel Transylvania 2” at Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara Jordan’s October 28 movie night event at North Pointe YMCA Family Center.

Attendees donned festive Halloween costumes and were treated to a spooky haunted house, free hot dogs, popcorn, beverages and trick-or-treat bags filled with candy. The commissioner teamed up with YMCA North Pointe to provide a free, safe space for families for the Halloween-themed evening.

“I love meeting and interacting with families who turn out for my events,” Commissioner Jordan said. “The purpose of my events is to provide fun, family-friendly activities for residents.”

Movie Night is one of Commissioner Jordan’s signature events, which takes place at different locations throughout District 1. For upcoming events in District 1, contact Commissioner Jordan’s office at 305-474-3011.
