FORT LAUDERDALE — The Ronin Taiko Japanese Drummers dedicated a special performance Kon Jo: The Spirit of Courage held on Friday, October 10 in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Funds raised from the concert benefited children with special healthcare needs who receive services at the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center.

Prior to the concert, which was attended by dozens of CDTC families and patients, a special reception was held for CDTC Board Members and Transformers at the new Huizenga Pavilion.

The Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) is a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 11,000 children with special healthcare needs in Broward County annually. As a facility of Broward Health, CDTC’s mission is to promote the optimal health and well-being of children with special healthcare needs by providing comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment services within a medical home environment.
