MIAMI, Fla. – Urban Philanthropies’ newest venture The Overtown Marketplace debuts in Historic Overtown on May 10 at The Urban, 1000 NW 2nd Ave., Miami.

The Overtown Marketplace is a curated weekly event that supports local South Florida vendors who offer unique, one of a kind items. The marketplace is aimed to support the entrepreneurial drive of the local community with live music and special events that create new memories in the heart of Overtown.

Urban Philanthropies’ mission is to transform distressed urban communities through economic development activities for the enhanced quality of life.

“We provide an open marketplace that grows new and small businesses by offering the exposure and resources to increase their brand presence through craft, culinary and culture,” said Keon Williams of Urban Philanthropies.

“We are an entrepreneurial hub that fuses hustle and passion with those aiming to make their dreams a reality.”

The Urban is a new 58,000-square-foot market place and public venue; offering soulfully curated cocktails and menu items. The two-day weekly event is free and open to the public with vending fee options.

Saturday, noon – 5 p.m. The Urban Hours of Operation Thursday, 4 p.m. – midnight Friday, 4 p.m. – 3 a.m.
