AVENTURA, Fla. – The City of Miami Gardens kicks off its eleventh annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival with an event that also celebrates Women’s History Month. The 2016 Women’s Impact Conference and Luncheon happens on Friday, March 18 from 9 a.m.- 5:30 p.m., at the Turnberry Isle Miami, 19999 W Country Club Dr., in Aventura.

The theme for this year’s event is, “It Starts with You: ‘Be Fierce and Unstoppable” and will include among the speakers Bernadette Stanis, the actress also known as the character Thelma from the television show Good Times; Cynthia Bailey, supermodel and reality star from Housewives of Atlanta; Angie Nicolas, owner of the Hotspot 813 located in Tampa, FL, and fashion commentator on NBC News Channel 8 Daytime TV.

Also joining the panelists are Dr. Heavenly Kimes, an Atlanta dentist, author,       inspirational speaker, business powerhouse, relationship expert, and reality star from Married to Medicine; and Lucinda Cross, bestselling author, internationally known speaker, spokesperson and personal and professional development teacher.

Presented by the Greater Miami Convention (GMCVB) & Visitors Bureau and sponsored by State Farm, the panelists will offer advice and inspiration in the areas of love, relationships, family, finances and business.
