BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) _ Authorities have arrested a Brunswick man previously convicted in a killing and his wife on bank robbery charges.

A police SWAT team arrested 60-year-old James Ronald McCormick and his wife, 47-year-old Anna Marie McCormick, on Friday night. The officers tossed a flash bang grenade into their trailer while making the arrest.

The Florida Times-Union reports that the couple was charged with robbing the Southeastern Bank near the Glynn Place Mall on Tuesday. Police said a man accompanied by a female passenger thrust a fake bomb at a bank teller and demanded money.

It was unclear Sunday whether the couple had a defense attorney. McCormick was paroled in 2004 after serving roughly 22 years for a 1976 kidnapping and slaying in Glynn County and a 1984 escape.
