MIAMI — The Miami Dade College Medical Campus recently celebrated the opening of its new Wellness Clinic, which will provide services to students and part-time employees at the campus. Services to the community at large are being planned for a later time.
The Wellness Clinic will offer physical exams, labs, drug screening, HIV testing, bone density scans and EKGs, and provide campus students with an additional site for program required clinical rotations, which they presently attend at area hospitals, clinics and doctors’ offices.
Off-campus clinical rotation sites require students to undergo various physical exams prior to their first day of rotations.
Students will be able to have these physical exams performed conveniently while on campus at a low cost, helping them fulfill clinical site requirements.
