Economic Empowerment Summit: Bethel Temple CDC of South Florida and New Hope MBC Ministries will present their first joint summit, on the theme “Economic Strength in a Time of Loss,” Oct. 8 – 10.  Workshop topics will include financial strategies; entrepreneurship/

Volunteers Needed: VITAS Innovative Hospice Care of Broward needs volunteers who can make friendly visits to terminally ill patients and their families, provide relief for weary caregivers, visit veterans, accompany pets for pet therapy visits, make bereavement calls or visits, sew Memory Bears, play musical instruments, sing or read to patients who are no longer able to see. Licensed hairdressers are needed to give free haircuts to patients at home.  Volunteers are required to complete a two-day orientation.
