john_wiley_price.jpgDALLAS (AP) _ Dallas County commissioners are scheduled to meet as usual, one day after the FBI searched the office of a six-term commissioner, his top assistant and the home and office of a political consultant.

The FBI spent Monday searching the office and home of Commissioner John Wiley Price. In a quarter century in office, Price has found himself in the middle of one black community campaign after another _ and one controversy after another.

Public access was limited to the downtown building where the commissioners meet, a structure formerly known as the Texas School Book Depository. The meeting is set for Tuesday morning.

Price says he doesn't know why FBI agents came to his office Monday morning, but acknowledged that his history as an activist has made him a target.
