dj_griot_web.jpgThe 4th annual Dj Griot Anniversary Celebration Feb. 16-18 again features Miami as host city for celebrity-filled festivities to celebrate a man who not only entertains the masses every week on the radio airwaves but also donates time and effort to help others around him, including this year’s honoree charity organization, the Little Haiti Optimist Club.

The mission of the club is to make a difference in the lives of youths by providing education, mentorship, athletics, arts and cultural programming. The non-profit organization was established in 2010 by a group of business, community and civic leaders to provide programs to the youth of Little Haiti. The organization is affiliated with the Optimist International, an association of more than 3,000 Optimist Clubs around the world dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids.”
