Police spokeswoman Anitra Highland tells the Tallahassee Democrat (http://on.tdo.com/RN3xMb ) that no one died when the floor collapsed just after 1:20 a.m. Sunday.

She described most of the injuries as broken bones and sprains.

The floor's collapse dropped more than 100 partygoers from the second floor to the first floor in the Seminole Grand Apartments' clubhouse.

A Florida A&M University student at the party says the collapse was “like riding a roller coaster with no seat belts.''

Highland says a dozen people were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

It was not clear what caused the floor to collapse.
