The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/SbBl8H) the family of four left several weeks ago, saying they were fed up with the racially tinged incidents, such as their tires being slashed, rocks being thrown through their windows and their children being taunted because of their race.

Sgt. Jim Griffin says local police classified two incidents as vandalism, not hate crimes, because police found no evidence they were racially motivated.

Mayor Mark Schwing said Wednesday that the city regrets such incidents would ever occur in Yorba Linda, and the city doesn't condone such actions.
