MIAMI –– The Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) will continue its series of free workshops to educate the public on the steps required to open a business in Miami-Dade County, with a workshop on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 12:30 p.m.
The activity takes place at the Miami-Dade County Permitting and Inspection Center, 11805 S.W. 26th St., Miami, second floor, conference rooms I and J.
As part of the effort to promote economic growth and development, county staff will be available to answer questions and share their expertise on the necessary tools to start and operate a successful business.
This opportunity to learn the ABC’s of opening a business includes how to obtain a certificate of use, a local business tax receipt, a home business license, permits and registration, and essential insurance coverage for all small businesses. In addition, attendees can find out about the Green Business Certification Program and the county’s Commercial Rebate Program.
