WEST PARK — Pure Pressure, a diversified group of local, international and island talent from South Florida to the Caribbean islands, will open up for Bow Wow on June 22 at McTyre Park in West Park as part of the Hoop Fest Miami 3 on 3 Basketball Experience.
For three days — June 21-23 — a 3 on 3 Street Basketball Competition for Top Gun Players will also feature live entertainment and a community wellness festival during Hoop Fest Miami 3 on 3, a free event for the community at the park, 3501 S.W. 56th Ave., West Park. Visit hoopfestmiami.com
The organizers say Hoop Fest Miami’s Top Gun Play is designed so that only “Top Guns” — male or female, young and old, short and tall and the most experienced — can play, to maintain the competitiveness and integrity of the street ball game. The event’s motto is “You Got Game, Prove It!”
The innovative new-millennium singing group Pure Pressure, established in 2011, is ranked No. 1 on Reverbnation in the Miami area for the R&B/Soul/Pop/Hip-Hop category.
The dynamic group of four young talented men has a distinctive sound that some might say reminds them of New Edition, Mindless Behavior, Boys II Men and Pretty Ricky.
Each of the four artists who share a passion for music and entertainment has his own own swag, style, charisma and dance moves that rocks the audience.
Kyron Gibson (Spank), who started rapping at the age of 14, has a vision of becoming a successful business man that will make him millions.
Xavier Taylor (Xay), who started singing at the age of 5, says attending Florida Memorial University gives him the insight, knowledge and wisdom of what it takes to succeed in the music industry as an artist.
Joshua Allen Harris (Josh), who started singing at 12, says attending Dillard High School inspires him to pursue his education in the world of entertainment and that his motivation will enable him to accomplish his ultimate goals in entertainment.
Oshane Francis (Shane), who started singing in the church choir at 5, has a vision of becoming a successful millionaire businessman and entertainer.
The group members have showcased their talent in private homes, at schools, colleges, churches and anywhere they can perform and express themselves through music and rap.
Long hours of singing practice, brotherhood and determination are starting to flourish for Pure Pressure.
