frederica-wilson_web.jpgWEST PARK — U.S. Rep. Frederica S. Wilson has opened a new district office to serve the citizens of the City of West Park and surrounding neighborhoods in Broward County.

Rep. Wilson is a first-term congresswoman representing the 17th District of Florida, including Northern Miami-Dade and Southeast Broward Counties.  She is a former state legislator and school principal and the founder of the 5000 Role Models for Excellence Project, a mentoring program for young males at risk of dropping out of school.

The office in the West Park City Hall, 1965 South State Road 7, is the  first congressional office in this area of the 17th District. City of West Park Mayor Eric H. Jones, Jr. and other residents attended the Oct. 20 open house event. The satellite office will be open every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
