Studdard spent the hour talking to the legendary syndicated radio host about his current musical project and community involvement before doing an in-studio jam performance.

The CD also features Ann Nesby of Sounds of Blackness, former A Different World actress Jasmine Guy and others, backed by the 80-voice Black Academy Choir.

The project raises money to finance youth arts programs at the 35-year-old Black Academy of Arts & Letters, a Dallas-based multi-discipline cultural arts educational institution, which is suffering from a cutback in government grants due to the sluggish economy.
