The 25,000-foot Smart For Life complex, at 1210 W. 13th St. in Riviera Beach, produces nutritional baked food products aimed at aiding weight loss.

SBA, in participation with our lending partners, Seaside Bank and Florida First Capital Finance Corp., approved two loans valued at approximately $1 million for Smart For Life," said SBA South Florida District Director Francisco ‘Pancho’ Marrero. “SBA's 504 loan program makes projects like this one possible. We are pleased to be able to help Smart For Life grow their business and create jobs that are located in a targeted revitalization area and will strengthen the Palm Beach community.”

SBA's South Florida District Office helps small businesses start, grow and succeed in the 24 counties south of Orlando. Officials say the SBA 504 Loan program offers small businesses another avenue for business financing, while promoting business growth and job creation.

Smart For Life estimates 25 additional jobs will be created in the next two years. Other partners on the project included the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
