bernadette_morris_1.jpgMIAMI (BLACK PR WIRE) — Sonshine Communications, a full-service public relations, marketing and advertising agency in North Miami Beach, has been awarded a three-year anti-litter media and marketing campaign — a first of its kind — by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won over a number of exceptional (and very large) advertising and marketing agencies from around the country,” said Bernadette Morris, Sonshine’s CEO and leader of the campaign’s proposal submission and pitch. “It means a great deal to us and speaks volumes to the brand of work and service we provide.”

Morris selected a core team of agency partners to work as subcontractors with her on the campaign, including Sachs Media Group, Cunningham Group, Inc., and Bill Hinkley Center for Solid and Hazardous Waste Management.

Together, she and the team will work with FDOT to develop and implement a new and innovative media campaign that will provide litter prevention education messages and heighten awareness to affect change.

“Ultimately, our goal is to end litter on our state roadways,” says Morris.

Incorporated in 1993, Sonshine Communications is one of the most seasoned and successful public relations, marketing and advertising firms in the nation. The agency is among the first in the country to be the recipient of two multiple-award, highly-competitive and much-coveted contracts via GSA Schedule for Advertising and Integrated Marketing Solutions (AIMS).

The firm, solely minority-owned (by an African-American female), is headquartered in its own 20,000-plus square-foot corporate facility.
