Isla Garraway Dean, deputy permanent secretary of the Bahamas Investment Authority, said developers had received approval to start constructing a resort comprising dozens of cottages, a restaurant, a clubhouse and marina. Shaner Hotel Group chairman Lance Shaner said the planned French Leave resort on seven and a half acres will be a “labor of love.” He hopes to break ground within 90 days.
