LAUDERDALE LAKES — Walmart is partnering with the Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce to hold a job fair specifically targeting people with management backgrounds.

The required minimum qualification is one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience or two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience or completion of two or more years of college.

“We're delighted that, in spite of the tough economic climate, Walmart can continue to offer opportunities for job seekers,” said Claudine Elvin, store manager of the Lauderdale Lakes Walmart. "That’s part of our mission, to help people live better lives.

“Additionally, our partnership with the Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce is a win-win for both entities. It's a natural fit for us to work with an organization that is working with businesses and the community we serve.”

The job fair will be held  from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Lauderdale Lakes Multipurpose Center, 4300 NW 36th St., Lauderdale Lakes. Attendees should take along their resumes and expect to be interviewed on the spot.
