priscilla-dames_web.jpgMIAMI — Wingspan Seminars is the recipient of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce’s Dexter Foster Small Business Organization of the Year. Priscilla Dames is the founder and CEO of Wingspan Seminars, a conflict resolution company that provides prevention and intervention strategies while creating safe environments.

She is best known for her work with bullying, violence and family issues.  She has experience training women and youth entrepreneurs as well as ex-militants in the Nigerian Amnesty program in Nigeria, Africa.

Her brand also includes producing seminars such as an upcoming parenting conference on April 5, “Parenting; It’s a Journey.” Wingspan recently launched a television show called Conflict Corner TV.

The award was presented at the chamber’s annual Business Leaders Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.  The keynote speaker was Neisen O. Kasdin, managing partner of Akerman LLP.

Other honorees were Alvin West, Board Member of the Year, Corporate Business of the Year, Carnival Cruise Lines, the Non-Profit Organization of the Year, Black Hospitality Initiative of Greater Miami and Rising Star of the Year, Fabiola Fleuranvil.
