bike_rack.jpgWEST PALM BEACH — This is the 18th year that the West Palm Beach Rotary Club, a Business Partner with the School District of Palm Beach County, has donated bikes to deserving students attending 14 elementary schools in West Palm Beach. This year the club gave 29 bikes and safety helmets to students selected by their principals.

This also was the first year that the club donated a tandem bicycle to a student at the Lighthouse for the Blind. Accompanied by their principals or parents, the students were recognized for academic and personal accomplishments during a luncheon held at the Kravis Center sponsored by the club, which has contributed more than $250,000 to schools, students and families in West Palm Beach. “We are proud to be an active Business Partner with the district,” said Kenyetta V. Haywood, school district administrator and club board member. To learn more, call Rotary Club President Jeff Pasquale at 561-236-8505.
