MIAMI GARDENS — Reaching U Network Inc. announced it will launch its “Financial Empowerment Movement Foreclosure Prevention” workshop series later this month to help homeowners dealing with mortgage problems.

The first session will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Upper Room Ministries, 3800 N.W. 199th St., Miami Gardens, and is free and open to the public.

A company spokeswoman said the workshop will include a panel discussion of how to identify mortgage scams, understanding the foreclosure process, identity theft and homeowners’ rights and homeownership.

The Reaching U Network, Inc. case analysis team will provide one-on-one consultation for homeowners facing foreclosure, the announcement said.

Attendees are being encouraged to take along loan documents and other financial information to the workshop. Representatives from Citi-Bank and 1st Priority will be on hand to answer questions.

“Home foreclosures is a topic that all of us are concerned about especially this election year,” Christopher Edwards, CEO of Reaching U. Network Inc., said in a statement. “We have created a series of workshops that we will be offering to the community to help educate about homeowner’s rights and what options families have if they are faced with foreclosures.”
