COUDERSPORT, Pa. (AP) _ A northern Pennsylvania high school is naming its auditorium after a murdered music teacher.

The Northern Potter School District will hold a ceremony Sunday for the dedication in Darlene Sitler’s honor.

The 53-year-old Sitler was fatally shot by her ex-husband in December 2012 while playing the organ at First United Presbyterian Church of Coudersport.

Gregory Eldred, who was also a music teacher, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder a year later. He’s serving a life sentence.

Sitler taught at Northern Potter School District for 30 years and left the school district $500,000 for its children’s music program.
