OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) _ State health officials have issued a notice saying all razor clams harvested Thursday on Washington beaches should be destroyed.

Officials say they found high levels of the marine toxin domiac acid on coastal beaches from Long Beach north to Kalaloch. Those elevated levels can cause illness.

As a result, officials say clams collected on Thursday should not be eaten and all razor clams commercially harvested are being recalled.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has cancelled the razor clam digs scheduled for the weekend.
