ORLANDO, Fla. – Red Lobster presented Karen Lockhart, a server at Red Lobster in Plantation for more than 30 years, with the company’s top honor for hourly employees – the Team Member of the Year award.

She is one of eight Team Members selected for the award from the more than 55,000 who work for Red Lobster throughout North America.

The Team Member of the Year Award recognizes hourly team members who consistently demonstrate core values of respect, integrity, genuine caring, hospitality, teamwork, excellence and fun.

The award also recognizes Lockhart’s ability to perform daily job duties at a high level and be a positive role model for fellow employees.

“Our servers take pride in providing great seafood and enhancing the guest experience,” said Chip Wade, Red Lobster’s Executive Vice President of Operations. “Karen takes her job to the next level through her dedication to her team and her community.”

Lockhart is well known by her fellow team members as the “Role Model Server.” Her passion for hospitality is obvious in her work, as she strives daily to deliver the ultimate service by ensuring every guest leaves happy.

Her energetic and driven personality has made her a sought after server, often requested by guests. Lockhart’s success can be contributed to her continual efforts to elevate the dining experience.

“Karen’s loyalty to our guests and brand cannot be duplicated,” said David Filliyaw, General Manager for the Plantation Red Lobster. “She has a way of making every guest feel at home.”
