gerald_wengert_34.jpgA Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy who starred in the "Unleashed: K-9 Broward County," reality show has been arrested.

Gerald Wengert, 33, a deputy since 2004, is charged with one count of falsifying an official record, one count of falsifying a report and one count of battery.

Broward assistant state attorney Deborah Zimet is prosecuting the case, which involves his 2010 traffic stop and arrest of Mark Visconti, then 17, on resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer charges.

Wengert and his dog Bali starred in TLC/Discovery Channel’s program  “Unleashed: K-9 Broward County,” which featured K-9’s and their handlers performing real life duty at law enforcement agencies around the country.
