MIAMI GARDENS — Universal Truth Center for Better Living will hold three services on New Year’s Eve to cast away worries, fears and doubts and welcome 2011 with hope and promise.

The church will present the annual Burning Bowl services at 6 p.m., 8:30 and 11 p.m. The theme is “Living From The Overflow” – a message that will be stressed while worshipers seek to let go of the hurts, pains and disappointments of the past and embrace their dreams and God-given desires in the new year.

The theme for Burning Bowl 2011 is taken from a book by Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith that encourages people to recognize prosperity and abundance as the divine birthright from God. Such blessings can be obtained in their health, relationships, financial needs and spiritual growth.

“It’s an excellent event and an excellent time of year to achieve excellent results for the coming new year,” said the Rev. Dr. Mary A. Tumpkin, senior minister of the UTC, 21310 NW 37th Ave., Miami Gardens. “Burning bowl is an opportunity for all of us to release and let go of that which no longer benefits us and to claim the good that God has already prepared for us as we enter into a new calendar year.”

The services are staggered so holiday revelers can get a spiritual boost before going to other festivities or can ring in the new year at midnight in song and praise.

“It’s a high energy service that is meant to evoke hope, faith, courage, and excitement about the future,” Tumpkin said. “You don’t have to be a member to experience burning bowl. Everyone is welcome.”
