RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) _ Officials in Fremont County have tentatively agreed to contribute money for a new, reliable airline for Riverton Regional Airport.

The Riverton Ranger reports (http://bit.ly/1NdKNmd ) that a draft budget includes a $200,000 contribution from Fremont commissioners. The board will make a final decision on the issue when it votes on the final budget next month.

The Riverton City Council has already pledged $200,000 to the project and the Lander City Council is considering the same amount.

Fremont County Air Service Task Force Chairwoman Missy White requested the contribution at a meeting this month.

She says the money would go toward a minimum revenue guarantee for the airline, because some carriers will not fly into a new market without a financial guarantee.
