henry-fernandez.pngYou are destined to prosper. I know that probably sounds strange and may even be a bit difficult for some of you to accept, particularly if your current situation spells nothing but failure. But that’s not something I just made up. It comes straight from the Bible.

Third John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” And, in John 10:10, Jesus declares: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

From the very beginning of time, God saw to it that man would have everything he needed to succeed. It was part of His plan when He placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. He positioned them so that they would never need, lack or want for anything, and gave them authority over everything (Genesis 1:26-30).

Just as God provided for Adam and Eve, He has provided for you to live an abundant life and prosper in everything.

Now, you may be asking, “If that’s so, then why is it not working for me? I keep hearing about God’s blessings but I haven’t seen any of those blessings happening in my life. When is God going to show up and do something for me?”

The truth is God has already shown up. In fact, He completed His plans for you and ordered your steps (Psalm 37:23) long before you were born and they have never changed.

The problem is you have not believed Him and positioned yourself to receive what He has for you. Until you do something to enable Him to get those blessings to you, you will be on the outside looking in. You’ll be watching others grow and prosper and you’ll be sitting on the sidelines, waiting for something good to happen to you.

The Bible says that God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). That means He will never say something He doesn’t mean and cannot or will not do.

If He says the way has been made for you to be blessed, then you can believe those blessings are waiting for you to take hold of them. If you are a born-again believer, then His blessings are just as available to you as they are the next believer.

The key to your receiving from God is believing, trusting and obeying Him and His Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

When you fully put your trust in the Lord, you don’t hold anything back—beginning with yourself. You release everything that concerns you, including your past, present and future, into His hands. You don’t hold onto any problems or trouble.

You don’t try to figure things out on your own but rather, you listen to God’s voice on the inside of you regarding everything you do and everywhere you go, recognizing that He is the One who will guide and guard your steps and keep you on the right path.

In other words, you give and entrust everything in your life to Him.

The devil wants you to believe that God’s Word just won’t work for you. He wants you to think that you’re so messed up, hopeless and helpless that there’s no way you can ever experience God’s blessings. But that’s not what the Bible says. God can pour out blessings on you in ways so astonishing that you’ll have more than enough to meet every need you’ll ever have.

There are simply some things in God’s Word that we don’t understand right now. But that doesn’t mean we won’t ever understand them. Until that time comes, we have to step out firmly and stand in faith and believe whatever God says. That’s what faith is all about. Faith is saying, “Get out of your comfort zone.

Step out into those areas where you’ve not been comfortable before. Start believing for things that you’ve not had faith for before.”

Until now, you’ve tried to reason things out, make things happen your way in the natural, but you’ve not been successful. Today, the Master is saying to you, “Believe me! Come and get it! It’s already yours!”  Believe and obey God and His Word and watch Him bless and prosper you.
