MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) _ A Myrtle Beach restaurant owner being sued by the NAACP says he doesn't deny service to anyone because of race. The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports Saturday that Pan American Pancake & Omelet House owner Constantine Leftis says his restaurant didn't refuse any patrons during Atlantic Beach Bikefest except during a scheduled 45-minute break to clean up and re-wrap utensils.
The NAACP sued the restaurant in May, claiming three black patrons were refused service during a biker rally last year in violation of their civil rights.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has said Myrtle Beach enforces laws against black bikers more strictly than during the predominantly white Harley Davidson rally.
