KINGSTON — Police said a 47-year-old woman’s throat was slashed in front of her two children as she slept beside them in their home in the southern city of Malvern.
Authorities said one of the children called police and told them he had seen a man standing over his mother with a machete. Police said in a statement that they were looking for Howard Williams, the woman’s common-law husband.
Police did not reveal the children's ages and did not answer calls for comment.
