HANOVER, Pa. (AP) _ A company that sells specialty fresh vegetables and healthy party trays plans to add 200 to 250 employees by more than tripling the size of its south-central Pennsylvania operation.

Jason Frost, the plant manager for Apio Inc. near Hanover, says the $22.5 million expansion should finish by year’s end.

The plant already has 40 workers, but expanding it from 19,000 square feet to about 64,000 should enable the company to add the extra jobs.

The company sells its products under its GreeLine and Eat Smart brand names, and also produces food for private label and store brands.

The expansion will give the plant 10 production lines instead of the two currently there.

The plant is in Penn Township, about 35 miles south of Harrisburg.
