Dance NOW! and Little Haiti Cultural Center are supporting the work of local choreographers by presenting an evening of new work and works-in-progress in a theater environment, Dec. 10 at the Little Haiti Cultural Center.
Bill Doolin, director of the Florida Dance Association, will lead a discussion between the audience and the choreographers on the process of dance-making.
Rather than being sponsored by any single grant or foundation, the initiative is a combined effort of Dance NOW! Miami and Little Haiti Cultural Center Director Anita Darbonne to promote the development of local choreographers, to build audiences and to share the resources of LHCC with the community.
Participating choreographers include Christine Beggs, Constance McIntyre, Sandra Portal-Andreu and Pioneer Winter, with additional work presented from Dance NOW! Miami.
