Fort Myers – Members of the multi-religious, multi-ethnic, multiracial board of directors which he established more than 30 years ago, to help ensure the success of the Quality Life Center of Southwest Florida that he founded in Fort Myers, were joined by some of the phenomenally successful young adults he inspired through the years, as well as grateful members from myriad segments of the local and national community, in offering testimonials for Abdul’Haq Muhammed, their former executive director, who returned as keynote speaker for their annual gala Saturday at Florida Gulf Coast University.

The founder and “The Q” have become nationally renown models for serving humanity, in a story that, as his successor said, continues to unfold through the programs and partnerships he established while building a legacy of compassion and excellence.

In honoring their beloved “Mr. Muhammed,” the center said he “has inspired generations to live with purpose, vision, and integrity. His deep commitment to education, personal growth, and community service has transformed lives, and built a legacy of excellence. Through his example, people of all ages continue to develop the character and confidence to lead and create positive change in the world.”

They included the accomplished young adults throughout the room and those gathered around him, embodying the event’s theme, “This is Us, Past, Present & Future,” as his wife Olivia, bottom, smiled with pride.
