Riviera Beach – Members of the public gathered en masse to enjoy the 41st Annual MLK Parade along MLK Boulevard in the Riviera Beach Saturday, as captured in the scenes above and below. Officials said the hours-long event themed “Be the Change You Want to See in the World,” and which included members of Florida A&M University’s Marching 100 Band and Florida Memorial University’s ROAR Marching Band, was the city’s largest and most successful yet. The event was just one of myriad MLK weekend celebrations enjoyed throughout South Florida and the nation, in recognition of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day federal holiday, observed on the third Monday of January each year. More King holiday scenes on Page 4B.
