FORT LAUDERDALE – Need information on your healthcare insurance options for 2014? The Broward League of Women Voters is partnering with the Broward County Library system and AARP to present a series of free educational sessions aimed at explaining the federal health care law that will go live on Jan. 1, 2014.
Open enrollment under the Affordable Care Act, often dubbed “Obamacare,” begins this Oct.1. The workshops will run from Oct. 2 through Nov. 16 at Broward County Library locations throughout the county.
Each includes a PowerPoint presentation, informational handouts and a Q&A session. All workshops are free and open to the public.
The presentations will address who is covered, what is covered, how to sign up, the latest information regarding the online market place, and where people will be able to purchase insurance.
