5000-role-models-cc-fc_web.jpgScholarship recipients in the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project recently were honored by the Miami-Dade County School Board, and School Board member Wilbert “Tee” Holloway presented the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project with a proclamation recognizing the program’s commitment to mentoring young boys and providing scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors.

A dropout prevention/intervention program for boys ages 9-19, the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project was founded in 1993 by Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson, then serving on the School Board.

This year more than 100 graduating seniors of the program have been recognized as scholarship recipients as the project celebrates ‘20 Years of Mentoring, Guidance, and Educational Assistance.’ For more information visit 5000RoleModels.com
