The Post and Courier of Charleston reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told the crowd Saturday night that some groups are unhappy about recent reforms enacted by Congress and the Obama Administration.

Earlier in the day, about 40 Republican protesters stood outside a fundraiser attended she attended.

NAACP President Ben Jealous encouraged banquet attendees to join an Oct. 2 March on Washington, organized by the One Nation Working Together Coalition.

About 300 organizations are part of that coalition that will focus on employment, education and economic justice.
