Making Business Magic Holiday Gala: The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will host its annual gala at the Hyatt Regency, 400 SE Second Ave. in Downtown Miami. More than 700 business people, politicians and civic leaders have been invited to the event which has the theme “Make Business Magic.”  The honorees are retired Congresswoman Carrie Meek, community leader Albert Dotson Sr. and former publisher of The Miami Herald and philanthropist David Lawrence. Unmask The Cure Fundraiser: The event will take place from 7-11 p.m. at Ceramic Matrix, 3825 N. Miami Ave. in Miami’s Design District, in conjunction with Art Basel. It will include food, drinks, entertainment, a silent auction and door prizes. All proceeds will go to the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund which provides free mammograms and breast care to women who otherwise may not be able to afford it.
