JUPITER, Fla. – Residents who want an opportunity to serve on the Jupiter Town Council can do so by submitting an application to the Palm Beach County city.

The Town Council is seeking a candidate to fill an open seat for Jupiter’s District I, which former Councilwoman Cameron May vacated to run for mayor.

She had to resign her council seat to run for mayor, according to the town’s charter.

May lost the race in March.

Those interested have until noon on May 12th to apply and the Town Council plans to review the candidates and potentially make an appointment May 20th.

The appointed individual will serve until the current term ends in March of next year.

Applicants must be registered voters and residents of Jupiter’s 1st District.
