DALLAS (AP) _ A storm packing winds upward of 80 mph has left thousands of people without power in North Texas.

The Dallas Morning News reports (http://bit.ly/1b0bhcO ) that no injuries were reported in the wake of Friday night’s storm that produced golf-ball size in Waxahachie, and included tornado and thunderstorm warnings.

Damaging winds up to 80 mph were reported in Stephenville in Erath County. In Tarrant County, isolated reports of 65- to 70-mph winds were registered.

Dallas-based utility Oncor (ON’-kor) says more than 60,000 customers were left without electricity in Dallas-Fort Worth as power lines were damaged and trees were uprooted. Johnson County authorities say several houses were left without roofs near Godly and Joshua. Flights at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field were halted until the storms passed.
