LAUDERHILL, Fla. – LifeNet4Families has announced the appointment of Erika Royal, CEO of The Life Coach School, as the newest member of its Board of Directors.

“Our Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of community leaders committed to providing strength, stability and guidance to advance the mission of our organization,” said Melanie Geddes, president and CEO LifeNet4Families.

“We are excited to channel Erika’s talent, expertise and energy into furthering our ability to provide vital programs and services to those in need in Broward County.”

As Chief Executive Officer, Royal currently provides executive leadership and oversight to The Life Coach School, an eight-figure coaching and coach training organization headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

For more than a decade, she served as an attorney, then as a partner, at Holland & Knight LLP in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. 

EXPERTISE

Royal’s expertise includes litigation in labor and employment law. She is a graduate of Florida State University and Harvard Law School.

Her professional career accomplishments include: Best Lawyers in America Guide, Fort Lauderdale Labor and Employment Lawyer of the Year (2018, 2021); Best Lawyers in America Guide, Employment Law-Management; Litigation-Labor & Employment (2014-2020); and Florida Super Lawyers Magazine, Employee Litigation: Defense (2012-2020).

Royal’s diverse community and volunteer involvement includes: Board of Directors Executive Committee/General Counsel, Leadership Broward Foundation Board of Directors; Vice President, Governing Board Imagine Charter School West; Executive Leadership Committee, Broward Heart Walk; Auction Committee Member, Children’s Harbor – Harbor Lights Gala; Participant/Fundraiser, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – Broward; and Co-Chair, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Broward County "Just Drive" Campaign.

GATEWAY TO STABILITY 

LifeNet4Families’ mission is to provide a gateway to stability for people in Broward County experiencing hunger, homelessness and poverty.

Current board members include: Rocki Rockingham, board chair; Scott May, former board chair; Will Spencer, vice board chair; Robin Wolfer, secretary; Les R. Campbell, treasurer; Andrew Cagnetta; Joe Feinberg; Laura Geary; Barry Sanders.
