The brothers of the Iota Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. participated in the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Florida’s annual soda pop tab collection contest. The pop tab collection drive is an annual initiative conducted by RMHC to raise funds to house families while their children receive specialized treatment for unique medical conditions. Families staying at the McDonald House come from around the globe to receive medical care from one of several specialty hospitals in Miami-Dade County. The high-grade aluminum from the collected can tabs are recycled and weight assigned a dollar value that is donated to the center. Pictured left are members Chris Stevenson and Leslie Elus holding a portion of the chapter’s donation to the center.
