FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Volunteers are needed to help conduct a survey of homeless people in Broward County.

The county’s Homeless Initiative Partnership, in collaboration with the Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Broward Sheriff’s Office, Broward 211, Nova Southeastern University and Hands on Broward, will begin the collection of data for the 2019 Homeless Point-In-Time Count Survey from the night of Wednesday, Jan. 23 through Saturday, Jan. 26.

The objective of the survey data is to provide up-to-date information about the needs of persons experiencing homelessness, and is an opportunity to engage in efforts to end homelessness and inform them about available services.

Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Shira Fowlkes at pitvolunteers@brhpc.org or for additional information visit the Broward County Point-In-Time Homeless Count website.
