MIAMI— FIU is welcoming hundreds of children to its football games through its Community Partners Kids Club program, which gives free game tickets to organizations that work with children.

This is the 14th year that Community Partners Kids Club provides eligible not-for profit groups with complimentary tickets to all home football games, including the game against Maryland. More than 25,000 tickets have been issued through this program to youth organizations.

“This is an incredible opportunity to motivate aspiring Panthers to pursue their college dreams,” said FIU Director of Sports and Entertainment Pete Garcia. “FIU is committed to engaging our community by fostering a love for FIU and FIU sports.”

The FIU vs. University of Maryland foot- ball game will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 at FIU Stadium at MMC, 11200 SW 8th St. in West Miami-Dade.
